As time passes, things change. Life is always dynamic, and hanging onto the past just makes it harder to let things go as they change.
It's a reality that we live in different cities, countries even, and any kind of catch up takes a lot of planning. It's not like it was five years ago, when we had our weekly catch ups. It's a reality that every time I head home to see the folks, I can see how they've aged, even in the space of a month.
Mum is in Dallas at the moment. I met her at the Sydney Domestic airport yesterday, before her transfer to the international terminal. She even sent an email today confirming she landed OK, and met up with uncle OK as well. It was soo good to see her, and to meet up with her, albeit for only half an hour.
I need to go home soon. I miss home.
