Lemon tree bearing fruit

My lemon is turning yellow. Yay. I'm looking forward to summer.

Been at work for close to five months now, and there are days when I feel as lost as when I first started. I can't wait til Mike starts end of next week. There will be more direction then.

I find this company still quite odd. It's been uttered to me by almost everyone - Clive included - that you either sink or swim in your first year. There's no one to show you how things are done, you just need to find out yourself. I must admit, it's taken me longer than I thought to settle in. I still hardly know anyone at work, would you believe? I'm not complaining though. I have a bit of flexibility here, and the challenges are good.

I spoke to Ben yesterday. He still hasn't found a Continuous Improvement Manager. I played with the idea of switching over, because my role has evolved so much already over the past 5 months. I should wait to see what Mike is like. I keep forgetting two thirds of my team still haven't been recruited/started yet. The dynamic would change once they start.

Hang in there, is what I say to myself. Shona starts soon too, so it will become more fun. Eventually. Hehehe.

In other news, this no snacking after 8pm is hard. I used to have this discipline in Sydney, but have reverted back to bad habits since returning to Melbourne. I'm eating more, more junk and unhealthy food, less exercise. Not good. Just takes a bit of discipline, I say to myself. Last month's mini challenge was hard too! Darn. I guess it's not a challenge if it's not hard, eh?
