I invested in a pair of noise isolating earphones because my last pair, the V-moda Vibe Duo earphones, were starting to break up on me. Don't get me wrong, the sound from the Vmoda's are quite good, but they don't even come close to these new ones, the Etymotic HF2. I'm testing them out just now.
Oh my God! These are amazing earphones. I can hear so much more in music now with these earphones. I was listening to the O'Brother, Where Art Thou Soundtrack, and the track, 'I am Weary' on that soundtrack has so much going on for the first 6 seconds that I could never hear on the Vmodas, nor any other earphones I've ever tried. And gosh, opera and classical sound amazing on these earphones. You can hear so much more in the music that I've never heard before.
I don't call myself a huge music buff, but I think I have a good sense of music in general, and damn, I'm impressed by these earphones. These are noise isolating earphones, not noise cancelling ones, and they block out the most noise of all the earphones you can get out there. Well, based from what I'm listening to at the moment, it works a treat. Finally found myself a pair of earphones I can use on an airplane without having to turn UP the volume. Nice.
I haven't written on here for a while.. Work's blocked this site, and this doesn't work very well on my iphone, so I haven't been writing as much..
I suppose I haven't really felt like writing either. Once again I feel like I'm at a crossroads. I need to enjoy this peace while I have it, because the storm's coming soon. The next six months will test whether I have really learned some of the lessons I think I've learned. I'm tired.
I finally got my car back yesterday. It's been odd not having a car to travel around. I was sooo glad to get it back; I've missed it. The repairers did a good job on repairing the damage, but to me, it's not the same. It sounds the same, it feels the same, but when I look closely, I can tell, and I reckon someone who has a good eye would be able to tell as well. Oh well, not much that I can do, really.
I see the girls this Saturday. I miss them. Muchly, muchly.
