Christina and I are thinking of moving in together end of this year, around Bondi. She currently shares a place with a student in Chatswood, but spends most of her time either working in the city, or exercising and body building down at Bondi Junction, and RUNNING to Bondi. *shakes head*
We both want to reduce our rent, so why not? She's a clean person - check. And she's relatively quiet, and hardly home, so I think it could work. And she can take care of my plants while I'm traveling. We'll see how we go. We're going to have a look around mid next month, and take it from there. Bondi itself it quite pretty, so it'll work out nicely.
It's an opportunity to halve my rent, so why not, right?
She's going to come over to my place sometime in the near future, and we can agree on which pieces of furniture to take with us, and what to sell. And vice versa - she is one of the few people I know in Sydney who actually has most of her furniture.
That's the difference between the people I know in Sydney vs Melbourne. Melbourne friends - most own their own property, buy decent furniture, crockery, have a TV etc. Sydney friends? With the exception of Nancy (who is a Melbournian) and Chris (Melbournian), and Andy, most of them only have the bare essentials; Chris and Ernie are the only ones who cook.
Anne's reaction to how much furniture I have on Friday night caught me by surprise - she was like, 'What?! You have your own TV AND washing machine?! You just moved here this year!' This coming from someone who only has enough space in her 1 bedroom apartment to eat on her bed. Chris and I both cringed hearing this - I can't eat on my bed. I don't even like wearing my clothes on my bed.. At least I'm not the only one.
