Putting things into perspective

I've been grumpy this whole week, and the more I think about it, the more upset and grumpy I get. So, it's great when I stop thinking about Jackie, and how pissed off I am with her.

I was having a conversation with Garry and Terry on Friday. As twisted as this sounds, talking to Garry makes me appreciate how small, little and petty my emotions are - when I lose my temper etc. Comparing what he's going through with Violet and the whole family, I'm swell. The poor guy can hardly sleep, nor can his wife. I heard the whole story on Friday, and man, it's a soap opera. The two of them are so stressed and pissed off with the situation they're in that they can't sleep, eat, or have a break. Terry's suggestion was to take Violet away on a boat into the middle of nowhere for a week, so that they get away from the mess and drama. I agree with him. Violet can't sleep at night; she wakes up in a sweat, and her doctor says she is massively stressed out to the point that it's detrimental to her health.

It's a mess, and the only thing I can do is just listen to him vent. I actually think someone will eventually get hurt in this, but.. The question is just who. Everyone thinks they're right, and the stakes are so high, it's quite worrying.

It puts everything into perspective.
