Tomorrow is ANZAC day, and I have four days off work. Kad and Phuong are in town, and we're heading out to a winery on Saturday. Niks will get her shiny new iPhone then as well. Will be good to see her finally on whatsapp. The things she misses out on.
Dad has his retirement party tonight somewhere close to here. He's invited me to attend, which I find a bit odd, because I don't know any of his work colleagues these days. I'll make an appearance though.
Cathy's gotten me into K-Pop now. SBS have been showing their PopAsia channel on the weekends, and it was on in the background a few weekends ago. Once I started watching, I couldn't pull away. It was addictive. I had a few OMG moments. The fashion! The dancing! The girls! The colourful outfits! The colourful hair! OMG!
And I must admit, some of the songs are pretty good. Not that I understand what they're saying, but they're just darn catchy.
I remember I watched BigBang's Fantastic Baby for the first time a few weeks ago. You had G-Dragon with half his head shaved on the left, and the right half flowing with long black and orange hair. And then you had TOP with bright mint green sleek back hair, and these outrageous outfits. I commented to Cathy that they were probably forced to wear that stuff, to which she responded she was pretty sure it was their choice. I found it hard to believe that they would WANT to have bright mint green hair. And the makeup on these boys!
Now, fast forward a few weeks later, and I can't stop playing this darn song. And yes, Cathy was right. They DO it out of their own free will. And now that I've seen more of the K-Pop scene, I actually think the mint green hair was pretty cool. Haha! I kind of wish TOP still had the green hair..

Of note, my favourite groups are BigBang and 2NE1 so far. They even have english songs, and they're pretty good.
