It's been a little chaotic, to say the least, this past month or so since I've blogged. Melbourne Cup seems so long ago. Work has been great; my brain hasn't had such a regular workout since programming days back at University. Christmas parties galore - so many Christmas parties, predominantly work. It's nice to work in the city, though. Everything's close by, and the coffee - God. I buy one every morning. Naughty, naughty, but.. It's soo good. And with QV around the corner, I've been lunching out almost every day. And shopping. Everything's just so convenient..
Speaking of work, around the corner from work is the Chill Out bar the girls and I checked out last Friday.. After a stop and start go. I went to visit Niks down in Keysborough on my day off, and the girls rocked up around 9pm. Phuongy had agreed to a hair and makeup makeover, much to Kad's delight, who couldn't stop playing, before handing over the reigns to Jenny. Before and after pix will be up soon! After a few hours of making Phuong over, we finally left Nik's place around 11:30pm and headed to this bar.
Great novelty idea though. The bar is made entirely of ice - walls, chairs, tables.. Even the cocktail glasses and shotty glasses are made of ice. You deck up in boots, gloves, a jacket as part of your entry fee, as well as a beeper, and off you go! The beeper is to keep track on the half hour you're allowed in there, for health purposes. Yep, you're only allowed in there for a half hour. And to keep you warm in there, they throw in a cocktail drink - full of alcohol so it doesn't FREEZE. And if you don't drink it fast enough, your glass melts in your hands.. Well, gloved hands.

Nikki, Jen and I decided to stay in there as long as we could - until they threw us out. Actually, we didn't know whether we were supposed to leave when the beeper went off, or five minuts after the beeper went off.. So we stayed whilst Winnii, Phuong and Kad chickened out and left early.. Or on time. I don't remember. But we did end up leaving with our choosing to join the rest of the girls. Luckily we did, because Jen's beeper never went off - it was broken. Good thing she didn't rely on the beeper, eh?
Our 'early' night turned out to be a late one - Phuong and I didn't get home till 4am, dropping by Kad's place, at her insistence to have a drink 'coz her mum was away. Fantastic host she was as well, because she FELL ASLEEP in the middle of her drink. Right on her couch. Slop bang! Phuong and I saw ourselves out..
In other news, New Years started with a bang! Well, fireworks.. Down at Albert Park. So good I even smooched a spunky fella at the end of the night! Pictures will be up soon!
Wish you all a wonderful year ahead of you. Peace, love and mung beans, baby!
