Throughout the Feminization of Thuy this past year, I have become accustomed to hearing accolades from Winnii for each small step in this somewhat long, tedious(? - no, I can't say that!) process. These are the sorts of proud moments Winnii holds very dear in her heart:
'Tweetie pie - you're wearing makeup! I'm SOOOO proud of you!' *hug**hug**kiss**kiss*
'Oh my God!!! You're wearing a skirt!! I'm SOOOO proud of you, Tweetie Pie!' *hug**hug**kiss**kiss*
'Thuy!!! You're dressed up!! Tweetie Pie's growing up! I'm SOOOO proud of you!!' *hug**hug**kiss**kiss*
'Wow Thuy! You bought a pair of heels!!! I'm SOOOO proud of you!!!' *hug**hug**kiss**kiss*
And the most recent gush came about a month ago, 'Oh Thuy! You picked out an outfit by yourself! I have absolutely no criticism.. My work here is done!'
Ofcourse, this is all said with the best of intentions - she wasn't not mocking me or anything like that (well, at least I didn't think so, hehehe). And I'm in no way teasing or exaggerating what she says.
So, throughout this past year, I have had to adjust by taking all of this in my stride, albeit a little embarrassingly. As you guys know, I'm not one to revel in the spotlight, especially when such sentences and quotes are gushed with such enthusiasm and.. loudness. Well, to me, they've sounded loud, anyway. So you can imagine my delight when this week, the tables were turned.
As any of you readers who have met Winnii would know, she is not a particularly sporty person. She likes to shop, eat, chill out, but you can never get her into any kind of sporting activity - willingly. I've tried getting to her do things out of her little circle of comfort. Things, such as, indoor soccer, dancing, and even camping, all of which were flatly rejected. Don't even go near the camping thing - dirt is inversely proportionate to fun in Winnii's world.
So, you can all imagine my reaction this week when it was my turn to gush:
'Oh my GOD!!!! You bought your first pair of runners this week?! I'm SOOOOproud of you!!!!' *hug**hug**kiss**kiss*
