Came home tonight to investigate what Raffie's been up to during the witching hour lately. During my period of sleeplessness, I've heard him digging, and making noise outside my bedroom, where the gas and hot water units are.
So what did I find? *sigh* I was looking, and looking, and looking, and didn't notice anything out of place, other than a little hole dug in the ground. Then he came over, and started chewing on the electrical cord that was connected to the hot water supply. He had cleanly chewed off the end. Bad, bad, bad dog. I'm surprised he didn't electrocute himself??
Mum made a call to Dad, who came over soon after to see what he could do. Can you believe it?! He was able to replace it! Within an hour, it was working again. Wow. One of the benefits of having a jack of all trades around. It was fantastic watching him work. That's the kind of stuff I need to learn around the house.
