I slept on a bed last night! It was nice, just felt a little weird not to have to get up out of bed this morning.. Rather, just slide your feet over the side and just.. stand. So easy. Hehehe.
My bedroom suite was delayed arriving to me. Boo hoo. The strong gale force winds blew the roof off the truck delivering my goods on Saturday, so delivery was postponed.
I'm thankful it's arrived though. But more exciting than actually getting a bed was getting my dresser. Anyone who has seen my bedroom would know how much of an eyesore it's been due to a lack of storage space. I was able to move a few piles of clothes off the floor and into the dresser. It was odd looking for a work outfit this morning, and going to drawers to find clothes, rather than rummage around piles of clothes...
That's not to say my bedroom is clean now. I have to clean sometime on the weekend, and reorganise my junk. Really.
In other news, I had a really frustrating dream last night. I dreamt I was in Seddon or Yarraville, and I was trying to get home from a huge shopping precinct there. There was a mass evacuation of some sort, but ofcourse, you don't know what it is at the time - you just follow the crowd. But I forgot where I parked my car. Stoopid. After wandering around aimlessly for what seemed like an hour (that's how big Seddon was in my dream, not the tiny 3 blocks or so it really is in reality), I finally found my car, just as a cute police officer motioned for me to evacuate.
In my car, not consulting my Melways, I followed my intuition - how hard is it to get from Seddon to Sunshine? Or so I think - and got lost. I mean honestly. The only thing I knew for certain was that I had to go on the Chandler Highway (even though I know in real life that's not the case), but forgot which way to turn when I got to a divided intersection. So I turned left - Sunshine was in the left direction - and somehow ended back in Seddon/Yarraville. Only now there were HUGE floods on the streets. People being swept away by the floods. Yet I was still able to drive. Go figure. The same cute police officer saw me again, and waved me down, and again told me to evacuate. And I was explaining to him that I was lost (knowing how this sounds - typical girl, can't get priorities straight, in the middle of a flood, right?). Frustrating dream, but cute police officer.
So he offers to guide me home, if I give him a lift too. *perk* But we get lost again, the two of us, on this Chandler Highway, and we end up back at Seddon/Yarraville after turning RIGHT. And this time, cute police officer boy is just as puzzled as I am. It's like this Christopher Pike book I read a few times; Whisper of Death. The book is about a select group of high school students who get trapped in a small town, with this mysterious girl weaving them into her web. When they try to drive out of the deserted town, they find a huge storm circling the town, blocking their path, and leaving them stranded, and they go around and around in circles until they catch on they can't leave town.
It was like we couldn't get out of Seddon, no matter which direction we went. So we tried a third time, this time turning left again on the Chandler Highway, and end up in a mysterious small European town that we couldn't get out of, because of the flood. So in the end, we kind of gave up, and... had some fun in the car instead, with all this disaster around us.
What an odd dream. I woke up so frustrated - not the hanky panky frustrated, but the 'how can I not know how to get home from Seddon?!' frustrated.
Need my coffee. Oops. Gotta scoot. Meeting time! I'll check the Melways later.
