I had a back spasm last week, the morning I flew to Melbourne. Ouch. It was a mini spasm, but man, it HURT. And it reminded me of how many muscles you need to do a simple task - such as walking. On the Wednesday morning, I was seriously thinking of cancelling my Melbourne trip, especially after finding out my chiropractor was out of town.
But! As luck would have it, Shermain had time for me Thursday AND Friday night. It's still a little tender even now, but at least I can walk, and even jog. I was even able to jog on Saturday night chasing after Roly after she had run out of Jen's door. Man - she's a trouble maker! Jogging would've been unthinkable on Wednesday evening - It HURT to even try and climb the stairs up to the plane. Just trying to take it as easy as I can now.

I just did a mini clean tonight, so my place is already set for Friday morning. Now, all I need to do is some shopping, and packing.. Hmm..
I miss Yuki-chan and Pepper-chan. The trip down to Melbourne actually made me seriously consider taking them to Sydney with me.
A song is playing in my ear right this minute, that made me think of Kad, and our trip to Perth years ago. It's one of Bizet's opera pieces from the Pearl Fishers, and it's such a haunting melody. I remember it was summer, and it was late at night. I had fallen asleep on the couch, only to wake up to find Kaddy, with tears in her eyes, watching this lesbian film. I looked at her, and she looked at me, and then we both burst out laughing. We had been watching part one of the lesbian flick earlier that night, before Jonelle turned it off and went to sleep. The thing is - part one ended when the protagonist was at a really low point.
Poor Kad couldn't wait for the following morning to see what happened, so she turned it on and kept watching, and got sucked into the drama. I had already read the book, so I knew the plot, so when I woke up to see Kad with tears in her eyes, it made me laugh, and the two of us laughed together, and made a joke about it.
I miss Kaddy :(
