Monday evening here, and Kaddy arrives in Sydney Thursday morning *jumps up and down* I'm SO excited to have her up here, and hoping the ash cloud doesn't have an effect on her flights.
I've been sneezing all day, and I'm hoping beyond hope that I'm not coming down with something.
The chances are firming up that I'll be travelling to Singapore again next month for the QBR. It would be harsh on Terry to present by himself this quarter, particularly given the bad three months we've had. I have verbal confirmation of the plan; waiting on the flights to come through by email now. If all works out well, I might even get to see Joy next month *jumps up and down* :D
Speaking of work, was talking to a new colleague, who confided in me that my name was recommended to her as a handful of exceptional people within the company to get onside with. I was really surprised to hear that, because when I heard the other names on the list: James and Shona, I was already in esteemed company. The poor girl, Caroline, is travelling all over the country at the moment, and is based in Melbourne all of this week (again), but when she gets back, we're going to head out into the city one night. She seems pretty cool; quite switched on, and a lot of common sense. Must admit the business has been recruiting well lately; it's good to blood new folk.
My eyes are quite sore tonight; I'm going to have an early night. I was going to write more, but I'll do it the next few nights.
