The Jess McAvoy gig

Ok ok. So when I said yesterday I was going to Jess McAvoy's album launch, I was wrong. It was actually her single launch. It was a good gig. You can check out her music here. Luce even stole a poster and got Jess to sign it. One of Jess's entourage, another girl who I found out was later also named Jess, had some awesome tattoos. Check them out here. Although she started off quite nervous, she ended the show quite well. There were a lot of sound problems though (three quite awful ones where the sound cut out twice during a song, and another when the feedback set in for almost a full minute before it was resolved). It's a pity I never got to see Jess play acoustically last year, because both David and Luce adamantly claim she's a hell of a lot better solo than with a full band. Which, to be honest, I believe.

Oh, and I just saw what Thuy H. made Luce for her birthday. It's SO cute! She made a photo frame, which you can see here. From scratch. You pull on it's tail, and it opens like so. So cute!!
