Painting a scene for you

The sun was shining this morning. Shone right down on me, and I could feel the warmth of its light. There were a few cotton coloured and shaped clouds dotting the sky, blowing slowly by, but their presence didn't interfere with the sun's rays from where I stood, on the train, on my way to work. The sky was painted a bright blue, and I could see the golden rays of the sun shining down and into the train travelling at 80km/hr. It was with this marvellous backdrop that I saw something that made me light up inside.

Four giant air balloons floated across the sky, getting bigger and bigger. Perfectly shaped, they looked majestic within this scene. And I smiled seeing them. The scene was already pretty enough, but these balloons added a surreal quality to the scene. They were so bright, so out of place, that it at once drew me into some fantasy land. I thought this was good enough to start the day. But then the best air balloon slowly floated into my view. It was a house! An air balloon in the shape of a house! It was a pretty blue, with its doors and windows a bright splash of yellow, and its chimney a cherry red. It looked just like a page right out of a children's picture book, with these five glorious balloons making their slow way across the sky. For a few moments, I was completely lost in this fairytale view. I felt like the protagonist in some story, on my way to experience some great adventure where I would meet lovely little fairies, discover ill fated news where I must meet and fight off evil villains, succeed, and reap the rewards of gold and shiny gems before being throned the new princess of this perfect and mysterious land. Perfect story, and perfect ending. Perfect scenario because the story was just as classical as the scene I just painted for you.

And then the train entered the dark city loop, and I was pulled back to reality.

But the feeling remained with me, and so I just had to share it. So I hope you enjoyed it as much as I imagined it.
