Why I need a coin operated boy

Well. I caught up with Luce on Friday night for some much needed cheering up, which she succeeded in doing. She bought me some chocolate from San Churros on Brunswick St. So good! I honestly never thought chilli and chocolate would be a good combination, but San Churros make a superb one. Yum! We discovered a gem of a restaurant that night as well. In Seddon of all places. Seddon?! Yes, apparently it does exist. Right next to Yarraville. Cosy, warm, and with good food and service at a reasonable price. Yum!

We ended bumming at Williamstown beach afterwards. On the way home, Luce mentioned how she wanted to write a blog entry on why she didn't need a coin operated boy, the title song by the Dresden Dolls. I don't think she's written it yet, so this entry may be her inspiration to write it :p

Whereas Luce doesn't require the services of one coin operated boy, I beg to differ in my circumstance. He would have been handy last Thursday night when everyone else (other than Lee who's partner is in Port Campbell) brought along their partners to dinner. Automatic joy if I had a coin operated boy, that's for sure.

I can't really think of any other reason for a coin operated boy, so that will have to do for now. But that is not my song of the moment. I discovered a beautiful French song sitting in Luce's car (as usual). Paris Combo's Living Room. If you can, check it out. I fell in love with the French language all over again listening to it. It's so beautiful. The live version rocks.

But the sad thing is, it already reminds me of Luce. And when she sets sail for French skies next month, I'm going to miss her even more, especially when I hear this song. And as each day ticks away to the day she flies off, I dread it even more. For my own selfish reasons ofcourse. I'll be both excited for her in her search of great adventures in a foreign land, but I'll also be dreadfully sad she won't be around for six months. Six months. What on earth am I going to do for six months?! That is for me to solve. Four weeks and counting.

Ps. I have too many damn coins, so I definitely need a coin operated boy.
