I don't want to head back just yet. That's the one thing about summer that I love - you can still leave the office at 7pm, and still feel good enjoying the sun's rays. It's been a little cold today, so I don't think I'll head down to the beach either tonight. It feels like Melbourne today.
I was talking to Terry this morning while we were waiting for Apple, and it hit me that this Saturday is Christmas. Oh my god! Seriously! Wow, that one snuck up on me. It really doesn't feel like Christmas yet. Maybe it will once I fly home and see the Christmas tree and Cathy's fabulous wrapping.
Been getting the messages from Nhan throughout all of yesterday and today scoping out what to get as presents. Hehehe. He still hasn't learned - looks like he'll be doing the late night shopping thing. Neither has Phuongy, actually.. I saw her on Saturday, and was keeping her company while she shopped. She had about 12 presents to buy, and when I met up with her after all my inspections, a good 4 solid hours of shopping, she had one pair of shoes to show for it.
By the end of the afternoon, she had another 5 done. I can already see it happening. She's driving back to Melbourne in her spanky new mini (I'll finally see it!!!) Thursday afternoon - the same afternoon I fly back to Melbourne.
She's due to swing by the airport around 8pm-ish, and I'm scheduled to land around 6:30pm. Knowing the pattern of my flights so far, the chances of my plane being delayed or running late is close to 100%, so I'll most likely land between 7-7:30pm. I might just wait for her and get a lift home with Phuongy. That way, I can claim dibs on being first passenger :D
But I digress. I can see her doing the 24 hour shopping thing... Again. I think I've done it twice or thrice with her now - and once, Judy even joined us 4am after she had gone to a party. Likelihood of Phuongy doing it this year? Close to 100%... Winnii might even be working too, actually. Hmm.. Jenny might end up helping Winnii too, and maybe KK too.. Hmm.. It might be worth doing the late night thing, then. Get to see them all before Winnii flies out.
I remember about 3-4 years ago, Phuongy and I headed to Chadstone during the 24 hour shopping in the lead up to Christmas, and we saw Winnii, Jen and Kad working at Kookai.
Good memories.
