Some news...

Oh man - the Mimco handbag I bought on the weekend is now going for an extra $100 off. Far out. I could've saved myself an extra $100.. To spend on other stuff. Garry here in the office says that it might just be a gimmick, and that it might not in stock anymore. That kind of makes me feel a little better. I'm convincing myself that the four days of use I've had from the bag was worth the $100 - $25 per day. Oh well. What do you do?

Was speaking to Phuongy last night, and she almost made me cry when I told her I had been feeling lonely this past weekend. She told me I should've called her, and she would've driven down for the day to cheer me up. That response just made me even more emotional. Driving all the way from Canberra to cheer me up. That's Phuongy for you. A seven hour round trip just to try and cheer me up. I told her I would come down and visit her once I've settled in January - found a place etc. She's down in Sydney this weekend, so we're catching up.. sometime in between.

I booked my car in with Vehicle Logistics last night - I'm dropping my car off at work on the 5th January, and will pick it up at our Villawood depot on the 10th January. It's all happening, seriously.

A bit of other news: Stuart is now back in Australia. He flew back yesterday, so at least he'll spend Christmas with family surrounding him. I'm trying to find out the hospital he's staying at so Garry and I can visit and check up on him. He'll stay in hospital for the next 3 months apparently while he rehabilitates. He still can't talk or communicate, but he can grunt and wave his hands, so he's slowly recuperating.

I had one other bit of news, but the information has escaped me. I'll leave it at that for now. Greg is in town today from Brisbane, and he's taking some of his team out for dinner, myself included. He was telling me his schedule: Melbourne last Friday for the Christmas party, and flew back to Brisbane 6am Saturday morning. Then he took the 6am flight down to Sydney Monday morning, and then 6am flight tomorrow morning to Melbourne, and flying back to Brisbane Friday night. Seriously. I don't know how these General Managers can keep that kind of schedule. He wakes up 3am 3-4 times a week. Crazy. Crazy.
