Long flights has it's advantages..?

So, the update on Stuart: it turns out he has a 5cm tumour in his brain that has been growing for the past 5-10 years. It was triggered from his long haul flight from Sydney to Singapore last week, so thankfully it was discovered now, rather than any longer down the track.

His operation is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Then he'll be in intensive care for 7 days, and if all goes well, he'll be able to return to Sydney 10 days after that, at the earliest. Doctors have already told him that he can't return to work until January at the earliest, so he'll be taking it easy. His girlfriend, ex-wife, and daughter have been flown to Singapore for the operation.

Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
