I got my offer today. Going to try and negotiate some minor details, but either way, I'll be accepting it. Will chat with Craig tomorrow to go through the correct protocol on who to talk to re: negotiating stuff, but I think it'll happen relatively quickly.
It was funny. I was out at lunch with Nicole when Chris (the operations PA), came by our department to drop off an envelope at my desk. I get back into the office, and Megan shouts out, 'Hey Thuy! There's a letter waiting for you on your desk!!' I just looked at her, confused, because she never tells me when I get mail - I just find it at my desk. Then, I walked past Paul and Andrew, and they both say to me, 'So Thuy - Chris dropped off a letter eh? What was in the envelope??'
*shakes head* Nothing is kept secret at this company.
Rumour has it (and rumours abound aplenty seeing as Craig has been out of the office so he can't deny anything..) that it will be fast-tracked with Stuart being in Singapore. As in, I'll start the role earlier rather than later, because they can't wait for Stuart to come back end of January before kick-starting some of this stuff. This needs to be seen as proactive, so it might be relatively soon. Either way, it doesn't bother me to be there before Stuart - I'll just work with Bronwyn and the team there. I already know everyone pretty well, and I know Bronny's excited I'm coming up. She's even offered me a room to stay with her if I need accommodation. And she's offered me a couch as well. Lol. I can't wait to start working with her. We are going to have a blast with this account. I'm excited.
